On Thursday night we went to a Flamenco show. It was pretty phenomenal. I've never seen anything that has succeeded at being so sexy with so much clothes on and no touching. All four performers (guitarist, singer, female and male dancers) were unbelievable. The pictures don't do it justice (or account for the extreme heat we were in) but here they are:
Later that night, we met two Spanish guys at a bar who gave us a tour of the historic downtown area. Here's us with one of the, the other is taking the picture. Can you guess which one he is?
We saw el Torre de Oro:
And then we went to a discoteca:
And then we went back to our hotel.
The next day, I moved into my homestay with a Señora. Here's what my room looks like:
I also have my own bathroom. It's very cute. My Spanish has been really great so far but my Señora has such a strong Sevilliano accent that I have a really hard time understanding her. She's very nice and an excellent cook despite that we don't talk much.
Tomorrow I start my first day of a two week intensive Spanish for business course. I'm about a 15 minute walk from my apartment to the business school but several other CIEE students live nearby so we all meet and walk together.
Buenas Noches!
So glad you are doing well. Looks like fun and what a beautiful city you are in.
ReplyDeleteRyan says "HI" and I'm sure Kara does too.
Your mom is painting my basement and Kara is calling her LaLa. Sooo cute. Got a little stressfull when Kara wanted to help with the painting itself. No know Kara, she hates when she's told No.
Take care and keep bloging.
